Academics

High School students at Community Day earn credits in Interdisciplinary classes developed by New Valley High School staff  and taught by CDS teachers. This allows CDS to strengthen articulation and to provide students with relevant and engaging courses that explore high-interest topics such as The Impact of Hip-Hop on World Culture, Financial Literacy, and The Social, Biological, and Economic Effects of Controlled Substances. The classes are designed to develop student literacy in math, English, technology, and workability skills. Cyber High is also used to supplement student credit needs.

Credit Recovery

Additionally, students are provided with credit recovery options using Cyber High.

Middle School students at Community Day learn in a small, personalized setting. Teachers use grade-appropriate content and incorporate project based learning in order to maximize engagement.
