Our Mission, Vision and Values

Our mission

To assess each student and to develop individual plans to guide them to attain social emotional management, academic readiness, and a growth mindset in order to succeed in their next educational setting and beyond.

Our Vision

Composed by Santa Clara Community Day Staff and Students

Our vision is to create a safe and supportive learning environment where every student thrives. We are committed to fostering student success, health, and well-being by empowering our youth with tools, confidence, and resilience to overcome individual and institutional barriers in order to become responsible, productive, and ethical members of society.

Our Core Values

E

Equitable - We believe every student deserves access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed. We recognize and address systemic barriers to ensure fairness, inclusion, and meaningful learning for all.

A

Acceptance - We honor and embrace the individuality of every student, fostering a culture where all learners feel seen, respected, and valued. We are committed to creating spaces where differences are not just acknowledged but celebrated as essential to learning growth.

Growth Mindset - We encourage students and staff to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and to believe in their capacity to grow -- academically, socially, and emotionally--through effort and resilience.

Life-long Learner - We value curiosity, self-discovery, and the continuous pursuit of knowledge.

Experiential Learning - We are committed to hands-on, student-centered learning that connects knowledge to practice, deepens understanding, and empowers students to apply what they learn in authentic and impactful ways.

S

Success - We believe that education is the foundation for lifelong success. We are committed to fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and college-career readiness.
